Funding Available for NJ Schools
  The New Jersey State Parent Information and Resource Center (NJPIRC), a Program of Prevent Child Abuse NJ, is pleased to announce the First Request for Proposals (RFP) to select schools and school districts that seek to develop or enhance Parent Involvement Plans. Applications are due July 31, 2008. If your school or district is interested in enhancing your parent involvement program, please contact us at 1-866-9NJPIRC or mmurillo@preventchildabusenj.org
 
2008-2009 Public Library Partnerships
  NJPIRC has announced availability of funding for NJ Public Libraries. Through the NJPIRC Library Based Parent Involvement and Family Literacy Projects Initiative, Prevent Child Abuse – NJ will provide funding and technical assistance to bring parent involvement resources to six public libraries throughout the state that did not receive funding in the previous program year. Funding Available for Parent Involvement Resource Space
  NJPIRC is proud to offer the opportunity for schools to create a "Parent Involvement Resource Space" to be located within the school building. Through this initiative, PCA-NJ will assist 20 schools from across the state to create this space. Successful applicants will receive a Free Wire Display Stand complete with materials for parents, a Free Question and Answer/Suggestion box, a Free Computer parents can utilize to e-mail school personnel or conduct research, and a Parent Involvement Resource Space Tool Kit. First Day of School Celebration Application
  The first day of school is fast approaching! Plan your First Day of School Celebration supported by the New Jersey State Parent Information and Resource Center (NJPIRC) a Program of Prevent Child Abuse NJ. We invite your school to participate in this celebration. Twenty schools will be awarded a $200.00 stipend to use toward an activity to increase parent involvement in your school. NJPIRC Parent University
  Through NJPIRC, schools can receive FREE workshops for parents to support their parental involvement efforts. The services include workshops to teach parents strategies for helping their children excel in school and for taking an active role in their children’s academic success.
