The Northern NJ Parent Empowerment Summit is an initiative of the New Jersey Parent Information and Resource Center (NJPIRC), in conjunction with the New Jersey Parent Teacher Association (NJ PTA) to empower parents to be active participants in their children’s lives and education.
NJPIRC invites all parents of children in preschool to grade 12 to join us for the Northern NJ Parent Empowerment Summit. The Summit, featuring a keynote presentation by National Award Winning Speaker Carol Ritter will focus on inspiring parents to get involved in their children’s education. Workshops will empower parents to prepare their children for success and inform them of ways to become active leaders in their child’s school community.
Parking is available in the NJIT Parking Deck located at 154 Summit Street, Newark NJ. Please refer to the Campus Map to locate the Parking Deck (building #20)
The Summit will be held in the NJIT Campus Center located on Summit Street about 1/10th of a mile from the parking deck. Please Refer to the Campus Map ( building #2)

Each participant will attend a total 3 workshops during the Parent Summit. Every participant will attend the CCSSI workshop, and 2 additional workshops of their choice. As space is limited, workshop selections will be on a first come first served and will be assigned to you when you register. Please note on your registration form 3 workshops you would like to attend and we will do our best to assign you to 2 of your preferred workshops.
