Recognizing the benefits of inviting parents as partners in their child's education in New Jersey, Governor Jon Corzine issued a proclamation declaring October 2009 as Parent Involvement Month. With this proclamation, the New Jersey State Parent Information and Resource Center (NJPIRC), a program of Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey, acknowledges that parental involvement is a vital predictor of student achievement in school and the important role parents play in shaping the lives of families and communities.
April is Child Abuse Prevention Month! All children in New Jersey deserve a healthy, happy and safe childhood. This April, it's your turn to make a difference for the kids in your neighborhood!
